We are so proud to present our New AKC Field Champion, Best in Field Winning, FC JUBILEE TRIPLESTAR APOGEE, SC - yeah GG!!! She finished with a 4 point major by going Best Of Breed over specials on 5/15/2016. This win comes just weeks after her major win at the 2016 AWC National Specialty. From show ring to field, she does it all! As it should be. Huge thanks to the SoCal lure coursing crews for making these great trials possible! Thank you to judges Mr. Robert Newman and Mr. Frank Yeh for appreciating GG on the field.

Well what more can be said? We had a fantastic American Whippet Club National Specialty 2016 in San Diego, CA. In 6-9 puppy dogs, our boy "Aidan" (TripleStar Handsome Devil) was placed 2nd in a lovely bunch of puppy dogs. In 6-9 puppy girls, our 3 pups showed beautifully, "Penny" (TripleStar & Destiny Penny's From Heaven at Pinewood) was wild and joyous, "Wisp" (TripleStar Lighter Than Air) made the cuts to 5th place but ultimately their sister Jazmine (TripleStar & Destiny's Mystic Romance) placed 1st in the class. In American Bred Bitches, "Francie" (Winway Francie Fairchild at TripleStar) placed 2nd in a quality entry. To top all of this off, "GG" (BIF FC Jubilee TripleStar Apogee, SC) placed 1st in Open Bitches and on to Reserve Winners Bitch for a National Specialty major. As a breeder-owner-handler, I could not be more proud of the appreciation and nice comments from judge and fellow exhibitors on all of my hounds. My sincerest thanks to judge Dr. Barbara Henderson of Whippoorwill Whippets for these honors. And as always, a huge thanks to my friends and mentors who have stuck by us.  The new year has begun and things have been busy here at TripleStar Hounds! We have been focusing on Lure Coursing and Whippets Remington (Ch Lishima's All Fired up at TripleStar, SC, CGC ) and GG (BIF Jubilee TripleStar Apogee, SC) are getting close to finishing their Master Courser (MC) titles. GG is also almost done with her hard-earned Field Championship (FC) and we could not be more proud of her! Billy the Ibizan Hound (Ch Ahram's Rebel Yell at TripleStar, JC) Qualified to course (QC) and earned his Junior Courser (JC) title. He has also been picking up Grand Champion (GCH) points when available at conformation shows.
The American Whippet Club National Specialty will be upon us April 23 through May 1st, 2016, held in San Diego, California. We are gearing up for this big event and very excited to attend. I am the catalog advertising show chair and happy to help. I am also on the committee for the American Whippet Club Western Specialty to be held on July 7th at the new location of Cal State Channel Islands in Camarillo. The entire Summerfest shows will be held at this location instead of the Ventura County fairgrounds for 2016. If it goes well, we will see what will happen location wise for the following years. Our new show prospects are looking wonderful and have just turned 6 months today. Expect to see them hitting the show ring fairly soon! I will be holding some back to be selectively shown and will proudly be presenting them in the Futurity puppy classes at the 2016 AWC National Specialty. This year holds much promise! We wish all of our wonderful partners and hound owners the best of luck in everything. Billy the Ibizan Hound's New Champion ad is published in the Summer 2015 Sighthound Review Magazine We are so proud of our first Ibizan Hound - owner handled by Shauna Summers to all wins! Thank you to Ahram Kennels Michelle Paulin for sharing him! Billy will be selectively shown as he matures. I think he has done very well for such a young man. Ad design by www.shaunasummers.com  Francie opted to channel her English Whippet origins for this Best of Winners photo with judge Mr. Irving Bonios at the Kennel Club of Pasadena, CA 5/31/2015. Mr. Bonios had found her before in competition so we can say that his judging is consistent. He definitely likes his job and makes the experience pleasant. Never stop showing for this judge!  At the Pasadena Kennel Club Sunday on 5/29/15 Francie was chosen by judge Mr. Irving Bonios as Winners and Best of winners! She now needs just a major to finish. She always makes me so proud! She also won a ton of goodies in the Southern California Vizsla Club Raffle and Silent Auction to benefit Friends and Vets Helping Pets and Southern California Vizsla Rescue!  Thank you again to Ms. Esther Joseph of Triseter Kennels Australia for this huge honor of Best of Winners Major for Francie!  At the San Gabriel Valley Kennel club on 5/23/15 (Mission Circuit, Pomona CA) - Winway Francie Fairchild at TripleStar was selected for Winners bitch and Best of Winners in an entry of 15 bitches by esteemed Australian judge Ms. Esther Joseph! We worked very hard together as a team for this win and Francie never stopped trying to please her people. Our dear friends cheered for us and that only made her more happy! I could not be more proud of this correct, sound moving, classic blue brindle whippet! After this awesome win, Francie had her OFA heart echo-cardiogram and auscultation done for 2015 and her heart is absolutely perfect! Perfect eyes and a perfect heart, we could not be more thrilled!  At the Orange Coast Rhodesian Ridgeback Club AKC Lure Coursing Trial on 5/9/15 our little TripleStar Beretta Jetfire Mosaic - "Berry" won the big 5 point major for her coursing debut! Thank you to judges Corey Bowers and Rosemary Marnoch! It was a thrill to see Berry effortlessly fly around the field. Berry is loved and owned by Philip Zobel and Marcella Zobel of GoLightly Borzoi and Mosaic Whippets in Aromas, CA. Needless to say, we are all so proud of her!  At the Conejo Kennel Club on 4/17/15, Benelli was chosen as Winners and Best of Winners by judge Mr. Jason Hoke from the bred-by exhibitor class. She is truly my heart dog and I love her SO much. Thank you to our friend Toyomi Tsumura for always taking such lovely photos of Benelli!   |
