Clickit Range is Sleepypod’s next-generation car safety harness, keeping dogs and the passengers who ride with them safer in cars. Its uniquely engineered, streamlined design builds on Sleepypod’s safety-proven Clickit Sport and Clickit Terrain models. Clickit Range is easier to use and addresses a wider range of dog shapes and sizes. Dogs with narrow, deep, or barrel chests, such as sighthounds, Golden Retrievers, or Bulldogs, will be just as protected and comfortable in Clickit Range as an average build dog.
Sleepypod’s PPRS technology secures a dog’s torso while absorbing force in a frontal collision. Upon impact, the supportive harness cradles the dog, keeping the dog restrained. Shock-absorbing sleeves work with a wide-webbed harness structure and a broad, padded vest to evenly distribute damaging forces across the dog’s torso, reducing the risk of injury in a car accident or hard stop.
Tested for safety:
Clickit Range was rigorously tested throughout the design process, including dynamic crash-testing and static tensile testing of all critical safety components, including hardware, webbing, and stitching. Sleepypod’s methodical, step-by-step testing process is critical for exposing possible flaws that a final test might miss.
Crash test dummy dogs with different body builds were used to assess Clickit Range’s crashworthiness. DASH 2.0 is a slender, deep-chested dog, while DUKE 3.0 is an average-build dog. Watch the crash tests:

We strongly recommend #crating your #dog when traveling in a car. (We proudly use #gunnerkennels ) OR wearing a car safety harness by #Kurgo brand. However, sometimes we are all in a hurry or don’t have our supplies. At the very minimum, please clip the handle of the leash into the seat belt as shown here. Should the unfortunate happen, this will prevent your dog from panic running or falling out of a window. Be safe out there friends and pets!

Due to Covid-19, many people are shopping for puppies and sadly, there are a lot of fraudulent people peddling puppies they do not even have or sending pedigrees that are not from dogs they even own. Please, DO NOT send money to anyone who can't prove that they have puppies, anyone who is not willing to talk to you and keep in contact up until the puppies can leave (minimum 8 weeks!) Anyone who magically always has puppies is also a concern as most will have a waiting list. If money seems to be the only factor for a breeding program, run! Our dogs participate in AKC events, we have photos of past wins as well as our dogs being loved in our home along with OFA health testing and being members of the American Whippet Club. Consider the source of your puppies. If the breeder is not treating their dogs with all of the love in the world, do not buy.

Kitz is a son of our first home-bred AKC Champion Ruger - CH TripleStar Son of a Gun, JC who also sired  multi group winners, field champions and a the 2016 AWC National reserve winners bitch. Ruger now resides in Australia with Vanessa Taylor of Kanati Whippets and so Kitz carries on his greatness here in the US. Kitz has a  pedigree full of amazing dogs!

Between the two of us, we will do our best to match the right puppy with the right owners. Please remember that some owners on our lists have been waiting for many years to welcome the right dog into their home. Sometimes circumstances change and puppies may be available later or after we keep them longer to evaluate show / performance potential for our future. This is all part of the process when you work with a Responsible Breeder. We want a beautiful, successful life between owner and hound and settle for nothing but the best for all.

"HOW MUCH FOR A PUPPY?"

Let me say a few words to you, the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who also calls and surprisingly states: “I can buy a cheaper dog elsewhere”. I also address you; the person who just wants “a pet”.
Not a single dog is just a dog.

Behind every pure bred dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory, the "I have puppies available all year" type of people. When you select to buy a dog from a breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every dog; owned and also sold. This breeder will skip holidays, sleeping, laying in bed and most of their own house space as this will be turned into space for their dogs. The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart into it. Not only in puppies that are sold but also in those who get sick and die.

A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in placentas and mud. Because that’s what life is about: birth and death.
In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do progesterone tests, echos, xrays, analysis, c sections, vaccinations, research pedigrees, deworm, as well as chipping their puppies and getting them evaluated by specialists.

Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their puppies.

Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to.
Because it is not “just a dog”.
